Unsafe medication practices are the cause of approximately half of all drug-related complications and many of them are avoidable, therefore being recognized as one of the most important areas of intervention by global health authorities.

New and first of its kind in Europe, this comprehensive CAS program in Medication Safety offered by the University of Bern is directed towards healthcare professionals who currently hold leading positions in medication safety within their institutions or would like to take on such responsibilities.

The purpose of the interprofessional course is to provide solid knowledge of medication safety-related topics, to train participants on recognizing areas for optimization and to enable them to initiate, lead and monitor processes to improve medication safety in their institution.
