The Role



- Contribute significantly to safety in alpine regions and other challenging locations worldwide by detecting to protect.
- Play a central interface role between DevOps, station software, and operational activities, ensuring reliable operation, updates, and development of real monitoring systems in the field.
- Take responsibility for deployment processes, automation, and existing station software within DevOps.
- Maintain Ansible deployments, configurations, and scripts, implement updates, and support adjustments to existing station solutions.
- Work with Ansible, Bash, Docker, Linux, and networking technologies on distributed edge systems, directly with real systems in natural hazard monitoring.
- Process service requests, analyse disruptions, support incidents, and coordinate team tasks in operational settings, with occasional on-call duties.

What You'll Need



- Technically savvy, pragmatic, and team-oriented individual with a structured approach and clear communication.
- Solid practical knowledge in Ansible, Bash, Docker, and Linux, with an interest in networking technologies and distributed systems.
- Experience with hardware-related systems, technical infrastructure, IoT components, or basic electrical engineering is a plus.
- Enjoy DevOps processes, deployment automation, technical infrastructure, and reliable operation of station software.
- Appreciate the variety between operational activities, automation, and technical development.
- Ability to manage existing systems and find pragmatic solutions, taking responsibility and collaborating with the team to overcome challenges.
