- Planning, organizing, and coordinating events, meetings, conferences, and social functions from initial enquiry through to execution
- Leading, supervising, and coordinating a team of 2 employees within the Events department
- Understanding client requirements and developing tailored event concepts and solutions
- Preparing proposals, quotations, contracts, function sheets, and all related event documentation
- Managing and overseeing all operational aspects of events to ensure smooth execution and exceptional guest experience
- Anticipating and resolving operational challenges or last-minute issues in a professional and solution-oriented manner
- Conducting final event checks to ensure all setups, services, and standards are met prior to event commencement
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and third parties through clear and professional communication
- Acting as the main point of contact for clients throughout the planning process and during the event itself
- Collaborating closely with internal departments to ensure effective coordination and successful event delivery
- Monitoring event performance, guest feedback, and operational results, and preparing post-event reports when required
- Supporting the continuous development and improvement of the Events department through proactive ideas and initiatives
- Additional responsibilities and tasks may be assigned at any time according to the operational needs of the business and the hotel.
- Previous 5 years of experience in events ideally in the luxury 5 star hotel industry with relevant background
- Problem solving, analytical, reasoning, motivating, organizational and training abilities
- Swiss work permit holder or EU ID / Passport holder
- Fluent in German & English is a must
- Communicates a clear and consistent message regarding departmental goals to produce desired results.
