Propio is rapidly growing and becoming a nationwide force and is looking to hire a highly motivated
**Senior Localization Engineer**
to join our growing Translation/Localization team. The ideal candidate should be an ambitious person, with existing experience and who is also willing to learn, grow, acquire new skills, and work with a diversified team.


**Responsibilities**

- Provide technical solutions and support for Localization Engineering requests
- Partner with project management team members on defining best translation/localization process
- Continuously look for ways to improve production processes and optimize workflows
- Help troubleshooting requests coming from both internal production teams and clients’ users
- Support Day to Day Localization Engineering, both at Prep & Validation steps when integrated with Propio TMS and also providing SME support
- Manage translation memories and term bases
- Analyze websites and applications for localization
- Write or edit scripts for content/data processing
- Ensure compliance with both clients’ requirements and internal procedures
- Keep up to date with Language Technology offerings and trends
- Other duties as assigned

**Requirements**
**Qualifications**

- BS/BA required in computer science or linguistics or similar
- 5-6 years experience in localization Engineering environment
- Experience with scripting/Macro creation
- Experience with Localization, Internationalization, Encoding etc
- Fluency in English and excellent verbal communications skills
- Experience with CAT tools and translation management systems
- Experience with systems integrations and APIs is an advantage
- Experience with content management systems
- Familiarity with common text processing tools
- Experience with scripting languages and regular expressions
- Passion for language, linguistics, human language technology and AI
- Excellent communication skills and experience working with large teams
- Experience leading a Localization Engineering team is an advantage
